A: Yes, this single code snippet makes it possible for others to send free talking cards from your site ( w/ads attached ). Try it out! Someone who has purchased an access key from TalkingCards.com can also send premium cards from your site using our advanced customization features, & w/no ads attached ( this is on a per-user basis ). Also, you can read the documentation below↓ regarding the use of the "ploc" parameter. If you would like for users to be able to receive cards at your site too, you will need to use the "ploc" parameter to accomplish that ( it's optional ). For more information, read below, and/or browse our FAQs.
Q: Does this single code snippet put all of the talking cards on my site?
A: Yes, this code provides access to all content available from TalkingCards.com. However, you may wish to learn more about using the "char" parameter by reading the documentation below. If you'd like to create a gallery of characters, use the char parameter in conjuction with this code snippet. Also, it should be noted that some of our best characters are considered premium content ( available with an access key only ). So although you can provide access to all characters from your site, some characters cannot be sent unless ( the end user ) has an access key. For more information, read below, and/or browse our FAQs.
Advanced Customization Parameters ( These Are All Optional )

bgcolor = Any hexadecimal color code value. This determines the background color of the card interface.
Here are some examples: ( white ?bgcolor=ffffff ) ( black ?bgcolor=000000 ) ( navy ?bgcolor=000099 )
char = Category and name of the default character to start with when the card first loads up.
Here is an example: ?bgcolor=ffffff&char=people/sexy-blonde ( you can get a list of all characters here )
Expert Pickup Parameters ( These Are All Optional )

ploc = Pickup location url. This is used internally by the card to generate pickup locations dynamically as cards are sent. Specifying this parameter allows you to customize where cards sent from your site will be picked up at. This ( URL ) must end with ?tcpid= or &tcpid= because the pickup id# is appended onto the end of it. Also, the pickup location must be a page that contains the code snippet provided above. There is nothing else you need to do because the code snippet can automatically detect the pickup id# when cards are received. You just need to decide what page on your site to use. Then put the code snippet on that page so cards can be received there. The value of ploc must be urlencoded. Also, it's important to note that if you, or any user for that matter, has previously purchased an access key for TalkingCards.com, the ploc value that you specify will be ignored for that user. This is because our paid users must always be able to have their cards picked up from TalkingCards.com on stand-alone ad free pages as promised by our service.
Example ( urlencoded ): ?bgcolor=ffffff&ploc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.talkingcards.com%2F%3Ftcpid%3D
tcpid = Pickup id#. This is used to present ( or deliver ) a previously customized card. Specifying this parameter allows you to force the card to load up with customizations specific to a card you've designed and sent in the past. If you're a webmaster trying to put talking cards on your own site for other users to enjoy, you should not use this parameter yourself but instead use "ploc". Alternatively, if your simply trying to put a card you've customized on your own site for pickup by one or multiple recipients, you may wish to include the tcpid value in the parameters. A good example for the usage of this parameter would be if you're sending a Christmas card to your entire mailing list and would like users to receive the card from your own website. You can design a card and obtain it's pickup id#, then use that pickup id# in the tcpid parameter and place the code snippet above on your own site. You would email a link to the page on your site where you placed the code snippet and users will be able to go there and view the card.
Example: ?bgcolor=ffffff&tcpid=87654376543765
Expert Branding Parameters ( These Are All Optional )

bimg = Branding image. Specifying an image location for the value of this parameter allows you to remove the (powered by Dongo) image on the bottom right hand corner of each card and replace it with your own branding image. This value must be the full url location of your image and be urlencoded. The image must be in gif|jpg|png format and be exactly 150x65 pixels. Maximum file size is 100kbs. We suggest that you use a png image for this with 24bit alpha transparency.
Example ( urlencoded ): ?bgcolor=ffffff&bimg=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.talkingcards.com%2Fimages%2Ftcdbranding.png
burl = Branding image click url. Specifying a valid ( URL ) for the value of this parameter allows you to have your branding image ( see "bimg" above ) direct users to a specific url when clicked. The value of burl must be urlencoded.
Example ( urlencoded ): ?bgcolor=ffffff&burl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.talkingcards.com%2F
Expert Affiliate Parameters ( These Are All Optional )

aid = Your affiliate ID#. Specifying a value for this parameter allows you to earn commissions through our affiliate program. In order for this to work, you must first join our affiliate program, then you can add your affiliate ID# here & start earning commissions. Note: this type of integration places the cards themselves onto your own web site. Therefore, affiliate statistics will not reflect page views or unique visitor counts as you might normally expect. This is because the cards are being viewed from your site, not from TalkingCards.com. You'll always be credited for leads and/or sales generated, but your incoming traffic logs will not be maintained in this scenario.
Example: ?bgcolor=ffffff&aid=1000
